Snow Day!!!!!!!

HOORAY!!!! We finally had a REAL snow day....well, real for around her. We have had several ice storms and 1 other snow fall that amounted to maybe 1 1/2 inches. Okay, all of you "snow" people don't laugh that's BIG to us. That was okay but, this was GREAT!!!!! We were due to get 8 inches of the pretty white stuff instead we got 4-5 inches. I must admit that I was a little aggravated that it didn't start falling when it was due to but, again was happy. Michael had to go to work for a couple hours that morning so, IF it would have started the roads would have very slick on him coming home. He drives about 45 min. to work one way. Then my dad had to be out and about so, again happy but, sad. CRAZY I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The snow was due to start Friday morning but, instead started falling late afternoon. We apparently missed the 1st "winter" storm. Since the snow started so late in the day we felt that it would be best to have the kids wait and play outside the following day. My kind hearted hubby that he is got up and out that morning around 9 am and started shoveling some of our neighbors driveways. Isn't he GREAT???? I am a VERY luck lady to have him. Michael was gone about 2 hours or so. I was doing things around the house when all of a sudden the kids came to find me and said, "Mommy, it's melting..Can we go outside?" I said, "Melting...okay." It was forecasted to be in the 20's all day and the sun was to remain in most of the time. Well, nope it stayed out longer and the stuff started vanishing. So, I got the kids and myself ready and we headed out.

I was happy to find this snow suit on sale Thursday. It was an 18mths a HUGE 18mths I might add. So, just maybe he can wear it next year. IF not the coat surely the pants. The top of the pants were under Joshua's armpits. :) Doesn't he look so cute and oh so warm???

As you can plainly see Joshua wasn't to hip on the whole snow thing. He didn't really cry he was just a little scared of it. I do have some other pics that shows him to be a little happier but, for some reason they are a little to dark.

Here's a pic. of our kids on the deck. The BIG kids had a GREAT time having snow ball fights with daddy. They stayed outside playing with daddy for about an 1 1/2 hr. Joshua and I lasted about 15 min. When the kids came in they were cold and ready for some nice hot coco with marshmallows. MMMM GOOD!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed our snowy day. WE sure did!!!!! May everyone have a wonderful day.
