Happy Birthday Hannah and Madison

In a more "perfect" world or okay more organized mama these posts would be separate but, hey with the ice storm and all they are together. :)

So, without further ado we joyfully celebrated our oldest daughter Hannah's 14th birthday at Patti's on Jan. 23rd. A couple weeks ago Hannah stated that she had never been there before and would love to go. Michael and I have been a few times before but, again had never taken the kids. The main reason being because it is so expensive...well, expensive for us. So, we thought hey, that would be a great surprise for her. So, Michael picked her up from her mom's house, Hannah ran in for a quick change and off we were. We were able to celebrate this glorious day with Michael's dad, 2 brothers and my soon to be sister-in-law (YAY) oh and YES btw her brother and sisters. :) We had a great time just talking, laughing and eating. :) Have I mentioned the food was YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hannah opened her cards (no pics of that because after all she is 14) and then the staff came and sang Happy Birthday to her. Bless her heart she was soooo embarrassed but, as usual was flashing that gorgeous smile.

Next came Miss. Madison's birthday. This will definitely be one that she will ALWAYS remember. On Jan. 29th our "baby" girl turned 8 years old. The difference between this day and all the others was the fact that we were in the DARK. Yep, you heard that right. The 1st round of the ice storm hit around 8pm Mon. night (1/26) and by 10am Tues. morning we had NO power. So, Thursday again was a special day. Michael being the awesome daddy like he is wasn't about to let his little girls day go unnoticed (granted we had NO gift but, hey that's okay). So, for the but, just couple hours Wal-Mart was opened he headed out there to find a cake for her. However, all the cakes were being pulled off the shelves but, he did snatch up a brownie. :) So, that evening my parents were able to make it out of the house (NEVER to leave again until Sunday), cousins came over (impromptu sleepover) and daddy grilled pizza and chicken nuggets. We enjoyed watching the kids jump on the make shift trampoline (AKA Kortneys mattress), played Hannah Montana Uno Spin and telephone. A GREAT night was had by all.

Here are some pics. of my girls celebrating there birthday's. Hope you enjoy.
