Joshua for the past week or so has done a little better with walking. He had gotten himself up to 7 steps before falling over. After he'd fall he would stand up from the floor and take off again..same thing # 7 and fall.
Today we headed out to the mall to do a bit of shopping. We were gone about 5 hours or so. I know WAAY to looong. Actually, he did great. He got a little fussy one time in JC Penney so, I let him out to roam. Yes, I let him crawl around on the carpet I know GROSS. Oh well. While we were there he would stand walk but, this time took 8 steps...WOW...he made it past # 7. I was SOOO proud of him. When we got home he walked around some more the next time he made it to # 13. YES....I'm the kind of CRAZY parent that counts her child's steps. We were ALL SOO proud of him. Then it happened he stood up and walked 1/2 the width of the den. YAHOO!!!! NO!!! I didn't count I got to excited when he hit # 13. All we know is he went about 10 ft. YAY!!!!! In case you're wondering NO I didn't have the camcorder on. I know bad mommy. I guess this is what the blogs for when mommy isn't on top of things. NEVER in a million years did I think this would happen. I'm seeing a BIG boy walker in the VERY near future.
***************************CUTE STORY********************************
After we got in from shopping and eating out. (I called Michael as we were getting ready to leave and asked him if he wanted to meet up at Fazolli's for dinner. I was TOOO tired to cook and the kiddos were getting hungry). Madison asked if she could get her play dough out and play some. I told her yes. One of the things she LOVES to do is make food. So, she asked me If I wanted some spaghetti. I told her yes that would be great. She bought me my food and I ate it. Then she asked if I like chocolate chip ice cream. Again, I said yes. So, she made me a cone. By this time Joshua was tired of playing in the other room so, he moved into the den. Well, he saw that "ice cream cone" and went BONKERS!!! He screamed, slung his arms all over the place, hopped around man,he just had one big hissy fit. Bless his heart he thought it was real food. I tried explaining to him that it wasn't. I know he's only 16 mths. old (TODAY....YAY). Instead of trying to rationalize with a baby I gave him some cereal in a bowl. That made him happy. Mind, you also I said we just got in from shopping and eating. This child LOVES to eat.!!!!!!!!
Here's a picture of the food Madison made me. Didn't she do a GREAT job??? I can see why Joshua thought it was real. It does look kind of yummy. :)
While all this was going on Michael was taken Hannah back home to her mom. I told him about what happened and he laughed. Madison was still quite proud of what she had made so, she gave some to daddy. Joshua, was okay with that for a while because mind you he still had some cereal. When he finished that up he took off towards daddy full force. Michael "pretended" to put some food on the fork. When Joshua put it in his mouth he said....umm umm and shook his head back and forth. I know TOO CUTE!!!! I grabbed the camera and got this shot. Check out his mouth...he's saying umm umm.
Well, that didn't last. He of course, realized there was NO food and started pushing Michael's hand away. Thankfully he didn't get upset. We just told him all gone and he threw his hands up in the air and took off.
