Oh, my goodness I still can't believe it. Tonight while I was on chat (YES, I have a problem) our Executive Director Sue was on as usually. Well, I thought what the heck I'm going to ask "IF" she has received any news on Joshua's new bc (birth certificate). You see before you receive PINK (which is that ALL important embassy appt.) the BM (birth mom) has to sign the final document, a NEW bc showing you as the parent needs to be issued and received, passport ordered and lastly DNA charged to your card and performed. Joshua was born in Guatemala City and the "usual" turn around time on bc's there is 2-3 wks. So, since we just got OUT on Aug. 30th I thought for sure she wouldn't know anything but, there again there she was and there I was SO I asked. To my own UTTER shock and AMAZEMENT she said YES the BC is done and the passport is being done. I could not believe it. Then my WONDERFUL friend Julie asked me if I've checked to see if it's been charged. As I was telling her NO I haven't I will check tomorrow and she said why don't you check now. Sue, pops in and tells me that the cc has been charged. Yet, again I was SHOCKED. So, what does this mean? This means that DNA will take place in a few days and we just might be issued "PINK" at the end of next week or beginning of the following week. I still can't believe it. The US Embassy will be closed for appts. starting (I believe) the 17th-24th so, we will not be traveling then but, more thank likely Joshua will be in my FOREVER arms then end of September or beginning of October.
My dad was hoping to have him home for "Grandpa's" birthday on Oct. 4th so, you never know it might just happen. As for my WONDERFUL husband I do believe he will be watching midnight madness and cheering on UK with his son. I still can't believe it!!!!!!!!

Praise Lord for the speedy process! So much going on for you and your family, and I hope you're packed already! Who knows-- you may get the pink before Friday? Maybe TOMORROW?!? We're exciting for you!
What a great day! It was fun to be part of chat when you got the news. I still can't believe how casual Sue sounded when she said she possibly had you bc and passport! I'm sure you were jumping up and down on the other side of the computer! Good luck getting packed. Praying you're pink soon and Joshua is home for the birthday party.
Blessings,
Amy Carr

Praising God for your wonderful news... I am so happy that I was there to be part of it. I admit though I was hoping to be picking up together... it makes me sad to think I might not get to see you again. You have been such a wonderful friend throughout this process and I am so thankful God gave us the opportunity to meet each other. Praying you are soon seeing PINK and that Joshua is home for Grandpa's birthday... what a wonderful present he will make. Have a wondeful day... lots of hugs to you !
God Bless~
